Larry Chiapelli began his career as a professional chef in Michigan and Oregon. While living in Oregon,
Larry went to college, graduated with a design/engineering degree, and returned to his home state of
Michigan. There he worked for over 20 years in the automotive design world. Taking a bold step, he transitioned
himself out of the corporate world to become an entrepreneur of a busy floral nursery, Gramma's Gardens.
Larry also designs business websites and continues to explore, in depth, the game of poker.

Larry, AKA Mr. Chips, has played poker in Las Vegas for over 16 years. Most of the games he played were
low stakes poker games like Texas Hold’em, Seven-Card Stud, and Omaha; through his hands-on experience,
he has devised strategies for winning while playing in Vegas. These experiences inspired Larry to write
Poker in Las Vegas. Mr. Chips is excited to share his knowledge about playing poker in Las Vegas. Because
of the countless trips he has made to “Sin City,” he has focused on teaching himself, and others, practical,
fun, and low pressure easy-to-learn strategies, enabling all to walk away as winners when they play poker
in Las Vegas.

Since I religiously traveled to Las Vegas for well over 16 years, I've learned all the nuances about
this town, especially where to go for the best "live" poker games. Both my daughter and I, the one who
is featured of the front cover of all my books, used to play a lot of Stud in Las Vegas. Some of the
card rooms in Vegas, like Binion's Casino, hosted poker games in the back rooms, which usually were smoke-filled
card rooms with a lot of ruthless card players. Times sure have changed in Las Vegas. With the rise in
televised poker games, like Texas Hold'em, Seven-Card Stud literally dropped out of the poker-playing
scene in Vegas. However, because of hard economic times, some casinos are starting to host different
poker games, just to get more patrons to come in. Whatever the case may be, make certain you have the
latest information, along with knowing the proper strategies, to challenge everyone--on all levels of
the game.
Poker in Las Vegas is a down-to-earth sort of book that speaks in layman's terms. Besides
all this, the book doesn't speak in a highly complicated and technical manner--just the honest truth
about everything you need to know to play good poker in Sin City.
